My 8 year old Beagle is just a pain when it comes to walking. First off, he ALWAYS wants to be in a grassy area and is willing to lose breath (choking on the leash) to get there. He wants to be all over the place and I cannot put him in one straight line. I cannot get him on the same level as me as he always wants to be ahead and will struggle to get there. When I have to stop at a stop sign, he still wants to go (not safe at all!) so I have to hold him and tell him, "NO!" (that doesn't seem to help.) I understand that Beagles want to be all over the place because of their hunting traits, but that's no excuse to have him hurt others or himself every time I walk. Any ideas on what I can do to help him out? Thank you and God Bless!... Read More »
