It's a christian mystery book called Modern Saul...about a killer...who...yeah: First Sermon Repent! Ye of wicked age, the age of disobedience and the utter lack of honor! Judgment time is upon us-yes, I say to you that the time for judgment is now. Let he who has ears hear: This generation has become corrupt-perverse with the materialistic objects of this world. Sex, substance abuse, the very idea of money has weighed down God's people. They must be punished-they must learn from their mistakes. Those who fear the Lord honestly and truthfully will not be harmed as long as they continue to do what is right. I alone have the sole honor of judging the wicked and the good, and telling the good: “Well done, good and faithful servant of the Lord God.” The times are changing. These are the first of the many. The inhabitants of this world will hunt me down-try to kill me and end the coming of a new age, but I will succeed. Let he who has ears hear: The judgment begins now. Repent! Repent! Which means that there will be more deaths. Which means more chances to track down the killer.” I said, looking at the bodies with a mixture of awe and disgust. How could somebody be so twisted as to do something so evil? I asked myself silently. Jim shook his head. “While that's true, I wouldn't be too glad about it.” “How's that?” I asked. “Because, Brandon, it means more innocent people are going to die.” for all who are wondering why it's rather "clownish", it's first person point of view from the viewpoint of a man with a somewhat sadistic view of death...he has a mental problem that kind of clouds his interpretation of things like this......
